Spring is one of the most popular times of the year to plan a wedding on the Gold Coast, for good reason!
With our incredible spring weather and gorgeous flowers coming into bloom, it’s easy to see why the spring season is so appealing.
We would have to say that spring weddings at Coolibah Downs are always something pretty magical too, with our beautiful gardens, manicured lawns and picturesque hinterland surroundings creating the perfect spring setting.
So today on the blog, we wanted to share our top 4 reasons to consider getting hitched during the spring season!

1. Spring Weather
Spring weather on the Gold Coast is the perfect balance of warm temperatures and blue skies paired with fresh air and cool breezes. This makes spring one of the best seasons to host a garden wedding ceremony or outdoor garden reception!
During spring, our couples can take full advantage of our secluded hinterland location and stunning photo opportunities, including our picturesque lily pond and garden gazebo.
Your guests can also soak up our beautiful spring weather during cocktail hour in the garden as they mingle in the sunshine, play lawn games and enjoy our rainforest surroundings.

2. Spring wedding flowers
If flowers are a big priority for you, spring would have to be your go-to season!
Some of the most highly sought-after blooms begin flowering during the months of September, October and November. Pinterest-worthy peonies, poppies and David Austin roses are just a few of the gorgeous spring wedding flowers to look out for during this season – with peonies in particular flowering for just 5 weeks!
Spring allows you to take full advantage of seasonal blooms to create colourful bouquets and statement table arrangements, in the most amazing spring tones like blush, fuschia, peach and coral.

3. Spring wedding styling
What’s not to love about spring wedding styling?
Pastel colour palettes, lush florals, soft draping, twinkling fairy lights and plenty of gorgeous green are all perfectly suited to a spring wedding. This season is all about drawing inspiration from nature and bringing the outdoors in!
We love seeing our couples play around with patterns and prints, pops of colour, watercolour stationery and hanging installations during spring. Or, keep it modern and fresh with a classic white and green palette and elegant table details!

4. Guest availability
If you’re hoping to have as many guests as possible join you for your wedding day celebrations, spring is also one of the more practical seasons when it comes to tying the knot.
With no public holidays like Easter, Christmas or New Years to worry about, planning a spring wedding generally means more guests are able to attend your special celebration. And with spring school holidays, families will be able to make travel arrangements much easier.
For guests who may be travelling overseas or interstate to attend your spring wedding, our hinterland venue is ideally situated close to local accommodation, as well as our own boutique accommodation options on-site.
